The CCA (Chinese Cultural Association Inc.) is a community service provider for immigrants in Australia. One of our services is to provide English language tutoring to new and established immigrants with a migrant background. As an English Teacher Volunteer, your role will be to run online training programs that empower migrants and community members by teaching them English language skills and local culture.
Your role responsibilities will include:
Conducting online English training using the proposed training guide prepared by CCA for community members with different levels of English proficiency. Welcoming and encouraging English learners of all levels to ensure a positive experience during the training. Assessing the English level of each participant and adjusting their training program accordingly. Collaborating with other teachers as a team to organize activities and share responsibilities. The desired experience for this role includes:
Prior experience working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds. Ability to teach online using meeting tools such as Zoom. Good listening and observation, as well as organizational skills. Previous experience in teaching. This role is best suited to someone who:
Has a good command of spoken English. Has a warm and inviting personality. Enjoys having intriguing conversations and embracing multicultural lifestyles. Likes spending time in meaningful conversations with other English lovers. Has a passion for teaching, even if they don't have previous teaching experience.

Additional requirements
Driver's Licence (F) .
1.5 hours per week ( 8:00 pm -9:00 pm every Tuesday or 7:30-9:00 pm every Thursday, Melbourne time ). Online Remote Working.
