Youth mentor for young men

About this opportunity

The youth worker will plan and facilitate programs to address the particular issues young Aboriginal people face, including: building self-esteem and confidence, family conflict, homelessness, drug and alcohol abuse, sex and relationships, education or training, and possible employment support. The youth worker will provide practical help and support and have the ability to refer clients to other professional services when the issues are complex or specific. Also be involved in our Youth Camps.


Additional requirements

Covid-19 vaccination . National Police Certificate *. Working with Children Check *.

Have practical work and life skills that can be passed onto the youth. Motivation, positive attitude, Great sense of Humor, Flexibility, hold a driver’s licence for cars and possible buses . An understanding of problems experienced by young Aboriginal men trying to find and reconnect with family. First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
