Community In Home Visitor - Meridan Plains Sunshine Coast
About this opportunity
The Community Visitors Scheme coordinates volunteers to visit people who are socially isolated and whose quality of life would be improved by friendship and a regular visit from a volunteer.
We are seeking a male volunteer who would enjoy visiting a care recipient in their home in Meridan Plains. The care recipient, an ex-surf lifesaver who lives with his wife of 64 years, would like to go out for a drive or a cuppa on occasion or stay home and chat about the sailboats he used to build with his father.
An understanding of mental health can be advantageous for the role.
Your hours can vary from 1 hour per fortnight upwards with times and days arranged to suit yourself and the recipient.
If this sounds like a volunteer role you would like to do, we would love to hear from you.
