About this opportunity
Volunteers undertake a variety of duties which include:
Serving customers and assisting with customer enquiries Accepting donations and thanking donors Pricing and/or hanging stock Merchandising of stock General store tidying
Vinnies provides initial on the job training, including how to operate the cash register and Eftpos machine. This position could be an opportunity to gain customer service skills or utilise your existing skill set to help others. If you are an individual who works well in a team, is friendly, honest, hard working and would enjoy working in a retail environment, this could be the position for you.
National Police Certificate *. Working with Children Check *.
If you do not have a current Police Check (within 1 year) or a Working with Vulnerable People and Children card we can work with you through this process.
All volunteers, 16 years and over require a Working with Vulnerable People and Children card. Additionally, a current national police certificate is required for volunteers 18 years and over.
Please Note: As each organisation provides different levels/types of insurance, volunteers are reminded to check with the organisation as to the level of coverage for volunteers due to various restrictions to ensure they are covered for the roles they will be undertaking.
