About this opportunity

As part of the federally funded Community Visiting Scheme; a compassionate, caring and friendly Indigenous visitor is needed to visit with an elderly resident at their Aged Care home in the Randwick area.

It is purely about social interaction and connection so as to provide some joy and pleasure to this persons life. A commitment of at least 1 hour a fortnight is needed on an ongoing basis so a rapport and trust can be developed between the volunteer and the resident.

The role is very flexible. Individuals who are willing to give a little bit of their time in conversation, who are reliable, and have a positive attitude for life are encouraged to apply.


Additional requirements

Covid-19 vaccination . National Police Certificate *.

National Police Check will be provided by the organisation. Volunteers must be 18 years of age or over. CV19 and Flu Vaccination required.
Own transport to the facility would be advantageous.
Applicants do not need to be Catholic to volunteer.

Time Required

Fortnightly visits needed but weekly visits are most welcome.
