Home Tutor for Migrants and Refugees (Koondoola and surrounding suburbs)
About this opportunity
Home Tutors tutor adult migrants in students' houses 1-1 for 1 hour a week. They are provided with books and learning materials, training and ongoing support.
As a home tutor volunteer, you will be suitably matched with a client. You will be given their details and asked to make contact to arrange a meeting in their home. We ask you to commit one to two hours a week of your time with a client to help improve their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills and be willing to teach online if needed. Home tutors receive ongoing support and have access to a range of books, worksheets and learning materials.
Additional requirements
National Police Certificate *. Others .
Good English, cultural awareness, friendly personality and National Police History Check. Computer or laptop. Driver's License is preferable, but not compulsory.
approximately 2 hours per week: 1 -hour lesson weekly plus travel to and from your student
