About this opportunity

This is a busy, fun and intriguing role where you are able to get involved with all the behind the scenes processes involved in running the Save the Children Op Shops as a valued VOLUNTEER. We have a wonderful team of like minded people, all working together to support the work of improving the lives of children in WA and around Australia.

We are looking for Retail Shop Assitant to help accept and process the stock dontations from the public, keep the shop full and tidy, greet and welcome our customers and process sales through the computer.

We help, train and support all volunteers in return for your commitment and voluntary work to help raise money through the op shops.

Duties can include: -Computers/EFT -Telephone queries from customers -Sorting donations dropped off by customers -Hanging and pricing clothing -Steaming and ironing -Checking puzzles, toys and games are not missing pieces -Alphabetising Books -Ensuring DVD and CDs are in good condition -General cleaning and housekeeping -Creating displays and window features

Please note: Save the Children volunteers are required to be double vaccinated for covid-19 and provide evidence of this when requested.


Additional requirements

National Police Certificate *. Others .

We process a police check on behalf of all volunteers - free.

Time Required

Urgent shifts are: Friday 1-4 Satuday and Sunday
