NDIS Program Manager

About this opportunity

The Role

An exciting opportunity arises for an enthusiastic volunteer program manager to oversee our NDIS program and take the primary responsibility for the establishment and development of organisation response to the NDIS and other social support projects. Working closely with senior leads and management, you will be the central point of contact for all NDIS related matters.

What You Will Do

  • Get the organisation registered with the NDIS and oversee all available services and support
  • Perform all legal requirements and complete/review documentation
  • Provide leadership and operational oversight to ensure smooth running of social support and NDIS programs.
  • Develop marketing strategies to promote organisation service offering under NDIS.
  • Manage and administer NDIS Portal and projects
  • Develop and deliver service quality models in context of NDIS and social support
  • Oversee the further growth and development of NDIS engagement business function and support coordination operation.
  • Delivery of streamlined social support and NDIS program and assisting community members through NDIS services
  • Implement strategic planning to engage organisation with NDIS and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders in developing procedures to support NDIS participants and their families.

About You

  • Qualification in community / Disability/ Human service or similar
  • Leadership & Management.
  • Interpersonal & Negotiation skills
  • Empathy & person-centred approach.
  • Proactiveness & problem solving skills

Essential Criteria

  • Experience working in health sector (NDIS is highly preferred)
  • Qualification in Disability support Community / Health or related field.
  • Ability to communicate well at all levels
  • Person-centred approach and a high level of empathy
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and clients

Desirable criteria

  • Registration with disability support worker commission
  • Diploma or cert IV in community service or related discipline.
  • NDIS worker screening check
  • Knowledge of NDIS plans and available support.

Time Required

10-15 hours per week, with a flexible work schedule
