Catering Assistant
About this opportunity
The Salvation Army Emergency Services (SAES) support our frontline emergency workers as well as assist those affected by disasters & other emergencies including bushfires, floods and storms, cyclones and other events including structural fires and searches for missing people. Your role in our Catering team is to provide meals and refreshments for emergency services personnel. Under the direction of the SAES Site Team Leader, you will assist with meals service tasks, preparation, operation, continuous set up and clean up in an emergency catering environment.
Use your love of food and catering to assist the Community in great times of need.
Additional requirements
Driver's Licence (C) .
Experience in similar role preferred.
Relevant Qualifications as required i.e Food Handling Certificate.
Drivers licence preferred
When deployed SAES will message volunteers to fulfil 6 hours hour shifts on 24/7 rosters for the duration of the deployment. Sometimes may be required to go away for several days. Transport/meals/accommodation will be covered.
