We are a small kangaroo rescue organisation made up of volunteers, we have a 24/7 hotline for any kangaroo emergency across South Australia. Over the past year our rescue has grown larger and larger and with that we need to build a foundation to suit. We will be becoming an incorporated organisation and launching officially towards the end of 2021 after finalising some last minute touches. At this point we will aim to take on financial members, provide training workshops and educational presentations to the general public. Our main objective is to continue to raise our profile, secure donations, sponsorships and merchandise opportunities and increase wildlife knowledge and engagement. As a not-for-profit we rely completely on donations and the generosity of our community, which is where this position comes in!


Based remotely (Work from home!), this newly created position is ideal for a motivated and dynamic professional who shares our love for Australian wildlife.

Your responsibilities -Compile a list of all grants that our organisation would be eligible for including grant criteria and due dates ect -Collaborate with key stakeholders to obtain relevant information -Collate and draft application response in line with criteria -Edit, submit, and follow up on application -Make recommendation of grants based on organisation needs and goals -Act as grant contact within the organisation answering any questions from committee , president , or other volunteers


  • Strong written communication skills
  • Ability to work with microsoft word and excel
  • Good research skills
  • Experience in writing proposals and strategic documents -Ability to translate strategic direction into grant application
