Western Australian Police and Community Youth Centres Inc.WA PCYC is looking for a dedicated and passionate professional to take up the exciting and challenging casual role of Assistant Hip Hop Coach at Midland PCYC

The primary responsibility of the Assistant Dance Instructor is to assist with delivery of dance activities to PCYC clients and ensure a professional standard of supervision, training and service is maintained at all times, supports the centre management in daily service delivery / operational management of the centre, and the dance Program. This position will require expertise in the area of Hip-Hop dance and also incorporate motor skill development throughout the dance classes, activity setup / pack down, equipment setup and general activity maintenance duties.

Roles and Responsibilities: • Deliver group dance activities in compliance with safety and industry approved practice requirements • Conduct OHS inspections on activity equipment and report any faults • Ensure equipment is maintained and used in a safe manner by all users • Explain and demonstrate dance techniques and methods • Actively encourage clients to participate and challenge themselves • Assist Head Coach with associated documentation. • Carry out administration as requested by the Centre manager. • Devise or contribute towards a marketing plan to promote activity program and attract new participants • Build and maintain good working relationships with staff, volunteers, stakeholders, clients and community representatives.


Additional requirements

Covid-19 vaccination . National Police Certificate *. Working with Children Check *.

Skills and Experience:
• Suitable instructional experience in dance activities
• Current Senior First Aid & CPR certificate
• Demonstrated experience working with children, young adults and youth at risk
through dance activities
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
