Social Media Superstars (several positions available)

Community Services Regular - more than 6 months Anywhere

About this opportunity

Loneliness is a big problem for a lot of people. We exist to help free people from loneliness. This task is enormous. Which is why we’d love your help.

Are you a seasoned social media specialist, keen to apply your experience to a not-for-profit organisation that’s committed to freeing Australians from loneliness? If so, we’d love to hear from you.

You’ll be highly familiar with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and/or LinkedIn and you’ll be a creative and empathetic soul and a super organised, solid copywriter with a strong attention to detail and ability to think outside of the square. You’ll understand the importance of following a robust content marketing strategy and you’ll have a passion for following (perhaps even creating) and implementing the latest relevant social media trends to facilitate growth across all social channels. You’ll also have a penchant for cultivating a solid content library and growing social communities via empathetic engagement and compelling content.

The Social Media role is a volunteer position, so we are more than happy to work around your availability.

The role involves:

  • Volunteering 2-3 hours per week (can be done whenever suits you and from home anywhere in Australia or in our Carlton office).
  • Creating and scheduling engaging social media posts based on upcoming news and events.
  • Contributing ideas to the social media calendar.
  • Preparing some basic reports on channel performance.
  • Meeting monthly with fellow social media volunteers for planning and development of the social media marketing strategy.

What we offer:

  • Be part of a supportive team environment
  • Volunteer for an exciting and growing organisation with new projects and initiatives launching regularly
  • Make a difference to people experiencing loneliness across Australia
  • Improve your knowledge and skills

Does this sound like an opportunity for you? Well, that’s great to hear! We can’t wait to hear all about you.

We are inclusive of all people and embrace diversity.
