About this opportunity
Multiple Sclerosis is funded to provide a volunteer visiting program – the Community Visitors Scheme (CVS). Volunteer visitors share stories, go for a stroll or have a cuppa, listen to music or play a board game. Our volunteers play a vital role in the life of a person living in an aged care home or their own home through ongoing friendship.
We have an engaging 84 year old Italian speaking lady in an aged care facility in Point Cook who would enjoy the company of a new Italian speaking FEMALE friend to have social chats, coffee and cake in the on-site café, accompany Maria to Bingo, and reminisce about family.
You need to be warm, caring, reliable and be willing to commit to weekly connections/visits or at least fortnightly connections/visits for a minimum of 12 months/ongoing.
MS believes in a person centered approach and aspire to match you with someone local with shared interests and hobbies. We look forward to hearing from you
