About this opportunity
Kingston Kids is a weekly playgroup for kids aged ~1- 4 y/o. Kids get an opportunity for free play, with toys, painting, play dough, and crafts. After some free play they sit down for some morning tea, then have Singing and Storytime, when they sing songs and hear a story read. Parents are encouraged to assist with crafts, washing up and pack up, but we are looking for volunteers to assist with the 'behind the scenes' logistics to help the playgroup to run smoothly. We have a playgroup co-ordinator, but we are looking for some volunteers to assist her and take on her role on the odd occasion that she is unable to make it.
Working alongside 1-2 other volunteers, you will need to: Set up tables, chairs, painting, craft, playdough etc. Assist with welcoming and signing-in Set up morning tea for adults (tea and coffee) will need to wash playdough shapes, paint pots and brushes at the end of the session. Need to ensure that the roster for crafts is filled. All the toys need to be disinfected at the end of the session. The parents help with this task but extra hands are always helpful.
