This role is advertised by Volunteer West, the volunteer resource centre of Australian Multicultural Community Services on behalf of Hobsons Bay Toy Library.
Organisation Description: A community-run toy library in Hobsons Bay with more than 1,400 high quality toys available to borrow. Borrow great toys every fortnight, save on clutter around the house and meet others in the local community by visiting your local toy library branch conveniently located in Newport and Laverton.
They are looking for friendly faces to assist our members with toy borrowing and returns, and help keep this valuable community institution alive, that we lend hundreds of toys to local kids
General volunteer activities:
- Counting & Checking toys on return
- Returning toys to the shelves
- Labelling toys-
- Cleaning and repairing toys
Toy libraries are where fun, creativity and play are valued and promoted! Toy Libraries provide local families a range of quality fun and educational toys, games, puzzles and activities.
Please note: Due to our limited opening hours, we cannot offer enough hours to meet Centrelink requirements. Volunteering shifts vary between 2 and 4 hours per week.
