Wesley Mission Queensland’s Hadden Place Dementia Specific Day Respite Centre at Sinnamon Park is looking for people interested in driving our clients to and from our centre and on outings in company fleet vehicles.

Shifts are available Monday to Friday, morning (9am till 1pm), afternoon (1pm till 4:30pm), or a full day (9am till 4:30pm).

The role of Volunteer Bus Driver is suitable for people with an open class licence who have well-developed interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills and display a calm, caring and empathetic manner. It’s a great way to make a difference in the lives of our clients while making friends, having fun and learning new skills.

Volunteer Bus Drivers are not involved in providing clinical or personal care to seniors.

Security checks required for the position are supplied and paid for by Wesley Mission Queensland. This may include a Federal Police Check, a Working with People with Disability Yellow Card, or a NDIS Worker Screening Card.

All applicants will be required to complete an online registration form which will be forwarded to them when their expression of interest is lodged with us.

To be in this role you will be required to follow a COVID-19 safe work plan and provide proof you have received your COVID-19 vaccinations before commencement.
