About this opportunity
The Better Together conference is a LGBTIQA health conference in its 4th year. The conference is attended by health professionals from all over Australia for 2 days of information filled sessions. The conference is running on Friday June 18 and Saturday June 19 from 8:30AM-5:30PM.
We are looking for volunteers to cover positions on the registration desk, room attendants, and COVID Marshals. These roles require no previous experience or qualifications.
Each day is split into 2 shifts (4 shifts over 2 days)
We are looking for any level of help, even 1 shift will be a huge help.
In return for your help, we are offering a free pass to the whole conference valued at $330!
Working with Children Check *.
We will provide a DCSI volunteer check at no charge.
* During the Covid-19 pandemics, organisations should be providing all necessary Covid-19 safety protection measures for volunteers following the advice of both the State or Territory Governments and the Federal Government. Your safety and wellbeing is your priority. Familiarise yourself with the most up-to-date requirements and advice from the Australian and NT and SA State Governments.
* As each organisation provides different levels/types of insurance, volunteers are reminded to check with the organisation as to the type of insurance provided for volunteers (e.g. Volunteer Personal Accident Insurance).
* Best practice volunteer involvement recommends that a volunteer role should not be more than 15-16 hours per week.
