URGENT Clean up assistance needed from Tropical Cyclone Seroja

Emergency Response One off - an event Across: Northampton WA, Geraldton WA

About this opportunity

We are looking for a team of 6-12 to help clean up debris on various farming properties that has been thrown around when Tropical Cyclone Seroja hit landfall a few weeks back around Northampton/Geraldton region of WA.

Many of these farmers haven't received rain for a long time due to the horrendous drought and now they have been hit by Seroja. There is a lot of de twigging, removing of tree branches and rubbish clearing needed ASAP so they can seed their crops. Timing here is CRITICAL. In order for the farmers in this area to take advantage of the rainfall that came with the cyclone, they need to plant their crops in the coming weeks and they need to clear their paddocks in order to do that. Otherwise, they run the risk of having no crop next year to harvest. After so much drought, this thought is almost too much to think about.

With the initial burst of adrenalin wearing off, now comes exhaustion. These farming families are very reluctant to accept help and this is where you come in. We need you to show up and show them there are people out there that care and want to help. Please call us today if you are able to assist these farmers or if you have any questions at all.

At this point, we need your expression of interest, availability and confirmation you are 100% self sufficient with your own accommodation and we can move from there with you.
