Home Tutor for Migrants and Refugees (Westminster and surrounding suburbs)
About this opportunity
Home Tutors tutor adult migrants in students' houses 1-1 for 1 hour a week. They are provided with books and learning materials, training and ongoing support. As a home tutor volunteer, you will be suitably matched with a client. You will be given their details and asked to make contact to arrange a meeting in their home. We ask you to commit one to two hours a week of your time with a client to help improve their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills and be willing to teach online if needed. Home tutors receive ongoing support and have access to a range of books, worksheets and learning materials.
Additional requirements
Good English, cultural awareness, friendly personality and Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check Check. Computer or laptop. Driver's License is preferable, but not compulsory.
