About this opportunity
During these challenging times we need volunteers more than ever, to support isolated people in our community to feel socially connected again. If you’re a ‘people person’ and would like to make a difference to the life of someone who is socially isolated we would love to hear from you!
Angela* enjoys reading and gardening. Angela* is seeking to be connected to a positive, chatty, bubbly, social and patient volunteer with the ability to creatively reconnect her with her interests and hobbies such as sewing and swimming. Angela* loves getting out of the house and would like to be accompanied on visits to parks, gardens or to go for a walk or a bike ride. Visits may also take place at Angela’s home or at a café to share stimulating conversation over a cuppa.
The successful applicant will demonstrate the confidence to work independently and be prepared to use their personal vehicle to transport Angela* during outings. Road worthy vehicle and Australian drivers licence necessary.
Please be aware that visits will take place in line with Uniting and government COVID safe requirements. Induction, ongoing supervision and opportunities for professional development provided. If you are interested in this role please contact us by calling 13 93 75 and quoting FM-S-04.
