About this opportunity
The position has the following responsibilities and duties:
Ensure that the Board maintains the degree of financial literacy necessary to conduct the business of the organisation.
Advise the Board on matters of finance.
Ensure that appropriate financial policies and procedures are in place and fully documented.
Attend bi-monthly Board meetings
Liaise with the Executive Director regarding the financial statements of the organisation
National Police Certificate *. Working with Children Check *.
Must be a qualified bookkeeper, chartered accountant or certified practicing accountant
2-3 hours per month The Treasurer is required to attend bi- monthly Board meetings always held on a Wednesday evening from 6pm to 8 pm with some additional hours when required and at Audit timeSuitable for
