People Who Care require people who have an LR licence and can drive a bus to transport our seniors to and from their home for fun and outings in a comfortable People Who Care bus. We have a monthly calendar full of activities to keep our lovely clients connected to the community.
We require people with great communication skills and good at helping, reassuring and providing companionship to passengers.
You will have a bus assistant to assist the client on to the bus and transfer any passenger belongings required for the journey (wheelchair, personal belongings).
Ability to use or learn how to use a GPS.
Driver's Licence (LR) . National Police Certificate *.
Potential Volunteers must hold a current minimum LR class driver licence. People Who Care will conduct a mandatory police check at our cost. Mandatory on-line driver training assessment, COVID-19 training and online induction. Advanced First Aid Certificate desirable.
