Branch Coordinator - SAFE Hedland

Animal Welfare Regular - more than 6 months Across: Port Hedland WA, South Hedland WA

About this opportunity

SAFE Inc. is WA's largest volunteer-based animals rescue & rehoming organisation. Since it began in 2003, SAFE has rehomed 32,400+ animals and has grown to include eleven(11) subsidiary branches across Western Australia. SAFE Inc. is the WA arm of Companion Animal Network - Australia CAN (formerly known as Animal Welfare League Australia, AWLA). We work collaboratively with local government, other rescue organisations and vets to check, treat and desex animals in our care.

To continue saving animals we need an enthusiastic and organised Coordinator to answer queries, manage the team and be the face of SAFE Hedland. You will need to possess excellent communication skills, be able to work alone, take direction from Head Quarters, have good organisational skills and regular access to the internet. You will be required to attend general meetings with other branches and maintain open communication with HQ and the rest of the team.

This is an ongoing permanent role needed to work closely with the rangers, vets, coordinators and case managers to ensure the best care for our animals, advertise events, manage the facebook page, ensure adoption fees and bills are paid, approve vet work and bills to be paid and organise fundraising opportunities for the Fundraising Team. The role would suit someone with flexible working hours or an understanding supervisor. We can offer a friendly team environment, occasional puppy and kitten snuggles and a sense of fulfillment in knowing you’re helping animals in need. Training and ongoing support will be provided. Uniform, a vehicle and laptop also available.
