About this opportunity
Our Pen-Pal Postie will be registered as a volunteer of our organisation's Community Visitor Scheme and come in to the office for an hour or two on a fortnightly basis to read through letters and to deliver them to residents in Aged Care Homes in Bathurst. When delivering them to the resident, they will brighten up their day with not only a letter, but a smile and friendly chat. You will be part of a fun and friendly team in our centre, and also an important part of community in the aged care home. Our volunteer needs to have a National Police Check done as they will be visiting with people in aged care.
National Police Certificate *.
The time required would only be about 2 hours per fortnight, (1 hour or so in reading correspondence in our office and an hour visiting residents). We would also need someone who is ready to commit to this for a longer period of time, rather than short-term volunteering.Suitable for
