About this opportunity
This position requires a commitment of at least 2 hours each Tuesday evening. Our friendly team gathers to make preparation for the evening’s meal, build friendships and serve the community.
Upon arrival you will help with setting tables, welcoming people, ensure guests have signed in, serve meals then clean up. This is always punctuated with fun and laughter as the motivated team works towards the common goal of building community.
Our ideal person will: • work closely with the Manager and kitchen team • have a genuine desire to help others • be a team player but able to work independently, and be able to take direction • be reliable and trustworthy • be willing to undergo an Employment Screening Check • Be friendly, outgoing and enthusiastic

* During the Covid-19 pandemics, organisations should be providing all necessary Covid-19 safety protection measures for volunteers following the advice of both the State or Territory Governments and the Federal Government. Your safety and wellbeing is your priority. Familiarise yourself with the most up-to-date requirements and advice from the Australian and NT and SA State Governments.
* As each organisation provides different levels/types of insurance, volunteers are reminded to check with the organisation as to the type of insurance provided for volunteers (e.g. Volunteer Personal Accident Insurance).
* Best practice volunteer involvement recommends that a volunteer role should not be more than 15-16 hours per week.
