ABOUT THE ROLE
Meals Plus is a non-funded drop-in Centre located at the heart of Parramatta, and we prepare and serve around 200 hot, nutritious meals each day to over 150 people in need – all free!
We need a reliable and committed driver to help us collect food donations from food suppliers around Parramatta during the week. The food collected will either be made into meals for or be directly distributed to people experiencing homelessness and other crisis.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
We are looking for someone who is:
- Prompt and on-time for pick-ups and drop offs.
- Is reliable and punctual
- Understands work activities and follows procedures well
- Manages time effectively
- Able to assist with loading/unloading the donations

ABOUT THE SERVICE
Meals Plus is a place of welcome that envelops people with a sense of belonging to a community when they would otherwise feel alone on their own.
As a non-funded service located in Parramatta, we open for breakfast and lunch from Monday to Friday. Last year, we served over 64,000 meals and 36,000 coffees to people in need.
Further, Meals Plus is a drop-in centre for people experiencing homelessness, hardship and other crisis. We have laundry and shower facilities available on site, and we can provide food parcels, clothes, and blankets for those doing it tough.
We also host critical services on site regularly to ensure access by those most in need. These services can include Centrelink, Services NSW, NDIS, Legal Aid, housing support and advocacy, and others.
Additional requirements
Driver's Licence (C) . National Police Certificate *. Working with Children Check *.
One or more days from Monday to Friday, between 7:00am and 10:00am
