Fundraising Officer

About this opportunity

Skills • Excellent interpersonal communication skills to discuss with possible sponsors about their level of commitment. • Ability to grow and maintain relationships. • Experience working in the not-for-profit sector and/or government experience. • Experience in developing a fundraising strategy specific to an organisation and its capabilities. • High levels of organisational skills, time management skills and ability to multitask • Experience in grant and tender writing. • Proven experience in writing for fundraising with results • Demonstrated experience in a broad range of communication styles

Possible tasks • Create a template letter requesting funding and donations from businesses. • Contact large and medium size businesses requesting funding and donations. • Identify fundraising opportunities and present them to the Management Team to see if they will be implemented. • Design and organise events that are approved by the organisation. • Grow and manage fundraising revenue through a range of initiatives including fundraising campaigns, events, grants, and corporate partnerships. • Monitor fundraising initiatives and performance across the sector, including benchmarking to ensure strategies are evidence-based and data-driven • Develop targeted marketing, promotional and fundraising materials • Actively participate in projects, events, and other team initiatives
