Italian Conversationalist for Aged Care Residents

Seniors & Aged Care Regular - more than 6 months Across: Gwelup WA, Dalyellup WA, Subiaco WA

About this opportunity

Bethanie, Western Australia’s leading not for profit aged care and retirement living provider, has been warmly welcoming and caring for seniors for over 65 years. We strive to lead the change in the way Australians think about ageing, recognising ‘old age’ as a positive force in society and giving a voice to those who have seen it all and live to tell the tale.

We have a number of residents of Italian culture who would benefit from having a companion to converse with in their own language.

Visits can be spent doing something both you and the residents enjoy whether that be playing a game, listening to music, chatting, reminiscing or going for a walk.

No special skills are needed except for a friendly and caring nature and good listening and communication skills. Our friendly team will be there to guide and support you.

As little as half an hour a week can make a significant difference to someone’s life.

If you enjoy having a chat and have some time to share this role could be for you!
