Volunteer Social Companion - Befriend someone in Aged Care
About this opportunity
We are seeking volunteers to provide invaluable social support to our residents.
You will be matched with a resident who shares similar interests.
Visits may be spent talking or sharing in a simple leisure activity together.
Having companionship greatly enhances the quality of life of residents who may otherwise be lonely and socially isolated.
Bethanie has wonderful supportive staff who will assist you to make sure your volunteer journey is a successful and enjoyable experience!

Additional requirements
Covid-19 vaccination . Flu vaccination . National Police Certificate *. NDIS screening check . Others .
- Police Clearance or NDIS Worker Screening (or willingness to obtain at Bethanie's expense).
- Record of having full COVID-19 vaccination (3x vaccinations for volunteers aged 18+, 2x vaccinations for volunteers aged under 18)
- Record of having (or willing to undertake) 2024 influenza vaccination.
- Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of the Bethanie Group Inc.
1-2 hours on a weekly or fortnightly basis

Volunteers undertake online Infection Control Training and an on-site induction prior to commencing in the role.
