**Role: ** This is an OHS Officer role to volunteer for LEO Club of Boroondara. There is an expectation of working 5-10 hours a fortnight from home with the additional of fortnightly meetings.

**Duties: ** • Reviewing and development of existing policies and procedures and supporting of OHS programs. • Providing guidance to managers and workers. • Conducting risk assessments and workplace inspections. • Supporting injured workers rehabilitation. • Liaise with WorkSafe in relations to serious incidents and dangerous occurrences notifications. • Ensure all OHS legislation are adhered to. • Assist in the preparation of health and safety plans (especially for events). • Inspect activities and fundraiser events in accordance to the OHS requirements. • Apply for relevant permits and implementing and developing appropriate procedures as required. Skills: • Relevant OHS qualification and experience are desirable. • Intermediate knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety and OHS legislation, processes and trends, which includes Australian Standards and compliance codes. • Well-developed interpersonal communication skills and ability to influence. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to prioritise multiple tasks with attention to detail. • Ability to navigate google drive is preferable. • Great work ethic, ability to work unsupervised and meet deadlines.
