About this opportunity
Key duties of the treasurer role will be reviewing reconciliations uploaded into Xero by the bookkeeper, preparing monthly reports to the council (the board), attending monthly council meetings, preparing annual PL statements for the AGM, preparing an annual financial report for the auditors, being responsible for banking transactions, reporting to and preparation of financial reports to government agencies. It would be a bonus if the candidate is familiar with not-for-profit organisations and Gift deductability status.
It is expected that the work will be less than 4 hours each month but certain tasks might take more time such as reporting to auditors.Suitable for
