Caring Companionship Volunteers - Sunshine Coast
About this opportunity
You can help reduce the loneliness and isolation felt by some of our care recipients when they have no family or friends visiting. As a Caring Companionship Volunteer with Sundale, you will build a meaningful relationship and create a special bond with someone who needs your support. You can build this relationship through: • Having a chat • Sharing a cuppa • Going for a walk together in the garden • Reading a book or newspaper to them • Bringing your pet in for visits • Picking up books from the library • Doing some personal shopping for them • Playing a game • There are endless opportunities Only an hour or two of your time is needed each week to create a special bond with one of our care recipients and bring incredible joy to their lives.
