About this opportunity
Our small organisation based in Sydney suburbs needs assistance with social media content and marketing.
We are looking for one or two volunteers to help us better engage with the local community via social media. Key tasks will be assisting to maintain our Facebook page and / or other social media (Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn or WeChat).
Depending on your skills & experience, it may also include designing and producing content (graphics / photos) and managing our social media strategy.
Ideally you would be doing this because you a) are concerned about the climate crisis and want use your skills to assist, and/or b) are looking to get more experience in marketing and digital communications
Please do not apply if you can't commit for at least 6 months.
Ideally you will have experience managing a Facebook page or group. Experience with other social media would be highly desirable. Graphic design or photography skills are also desirable, but not essential.
We welcome applicants from any cultural backgrounds, however we need you to have fluent spoken and written English.
You must also demonstrate some environmental awareness and a commitment to taking action.
Up to 2 hrs per week. We hope you'd be able to monitor and/or post content at least a few times a week. Some days this may only take a few minutes. When you do it is flexible. Occasionally there will be events we will need more communications support with.Suitable for

We can provide information and training in the issues we campaign on. You will be expected to attend an initial 2 hr presentation (can be done online).We also have access to training opportunties in social media provided by other organisations.Reimbursement
We do not expect you to have to pay for anything. We're happy to reimburse you for any out of pocket expenses if they arise (eg. for travel).
