BREAZE volunteer and/or Board Member
About this opportunity
Ballarat Renewable Energy and Zero Emissions Inc. (BREAZE) aspires to facilitate, encourage and educate the wider Ballarat community towards a goal of zero emissions by 2030.
To this end BREAZE volunteers engage in advocacy, community education, fund raising and project management, for the installation and provision of renewable energy sources, along with improving energy efficiency across all sectors — to move the community towards a zero emissions future. The Board meets monthly via Zoom.
We are particularly interested in volunteers with experience in the following:
Project management
Renewable energy sector
Contract law
Media/communications
Marketing
Information technology
Event management
Fund raising
Writing grant applications
Additional requirements
Living in the Ballarat region with a passion for climate action.
Participation in the monthly evening meetings – which are generally 90 minutes – is the minimum time commitment and usually online. Board members are also encouraged to get involved in organising events, fund raising and advocacy as opportunities arise.
