The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of mecwacare.
Our Residential Facilities offer a range of lifestyle programs, giving older people the opportunity to participate in different types of recreational and social activities.
This volunteer role involves interacting positively with our elderly residents whilst serving tea and coffee in a café style setting. Various volunteering shifts are available
mecwacare is a not-for-profit, non-denominational charitable organisation that has been caring for the community since 1959. We provide residential, community and in-home nursing, care and support services for people who are aged and people who are living with a disability by partnering with them to live fulfilling and purposeful lives.
We support more than 16,500 people across Victoria through a highly integrated service network operated by more than 2,000 employees and 510 volunteers. Staff are culturally and linguistically diverse, representing 89 nationalities and speaking 98 languages to meet the needs of our residents, clients and participants.
We are a very experienced organisation with a proud 60-year history of caring for some of the most vulnerable people in the community.
