About this opportunity
Your compassion and caring nature will be greatly appreciated by the elderly residents of a local aged care facility as you assist them on short outings (1-2 hours) on the minibus. Outings might include a drive-thru coffee or picking up an icecream. You will assist a member of staff who will look after the residents' care needs. A staff member will drive the bus. Ideally, you'll be available on a weekday morning or afternoon, weekly or fortnightly, for 6 - 12 months (or longer).

Training is provided, as well as access to online dementia training. You'll receive ongoing support from the volunteer coordinator.
Driver's Licence (C) . National Police Certificate *. Others .
Safe driver, Good communication and language skills. Caring and positive attitude, and have empathy with the elderly. All volunteers are required to have a flu vaccination each year.
