About this opportunity
To sing with residents, have activities which encourage residents in the enjoyment of music. We are looking for someone with a musical background, who can run musical activities. Such as group singing, exercises to music and with the possibility of starting a choir. We do have pianos and organs throughout the facility if this is your instrument.
Music for the elderly is one thing the brain does not lose, you can have a person who does not communicate but will always react to music in some small way, singing, nodding their head or tapping their feet. If you have a happy personality, patience, an enjoyment of music and an understanding that we are all not songbirds and participation at any level is a wonderful thing. we would love for you to join our team of volunteers.
