About this opportunity
Member Services Volunteer is responsible for keeping the library organized and efficient while assisting members as necessary. They typically assist members with checking toys in and out and sometimes with locating toys.
People who volunteer with us do get 50% off the annual membership – so instead of $60 per year it is $30 per year.
The Hills Community Toy Library: • is an inexpensive way of accessing a wide variety of toys, • has quality educational items for loan, • offers a range of items covering all stages of growth and development, • provides an opportunity to meet other parents and caregivers, and • is an avenue for individuals to volunteer in their community.
By being part of a community driven organisation, you will make a difference!
Responsibilities for this position include: • Opening and Closing of the library – locking up, ensuring all outdoor promotional material is put inside, and turning off the air conditioner • Borrowing and returning toys – using the library computer and MiBase software • Counting and reshelving toys • New memberships and renewals • Receipting cash and donations • Making Party pack bookings and providing the equipment upon collection • Stock-taking
A full induction is provided to all volunteers and we aim to have at least two volunteers on site at all times!
