Horse Leading
About this opportunity
Volunteers come in early before the riders arrive and set up for the morning. The horses get a good groom and tack up for the day. The arena is set up with the activities and games relating to the theme of the week. Volunteers in the arena during a lesson will be either leading or side walking. The coaches will guide all new volunteers through the morning and all relevant training to assist you in leading our horses in accordance with RDA Safety Policies. It is a fun and fulfilling morning. Definitely worth a come and try.
No experience with horses is necessary. We hold New Volunteer training sessions throughout the year and new volunteers are required to attend, before working with the horses.
