Social Pet therapy Visiting - Wayville, Woodcroft and Hendon
About this opportunity
The residents can really miss their family pets. When they come and live in our Aged Care Home they cannot bring their pets. Pet Therapy social support visiting brings joy, smiles and companionship. They love to have a pat, a chit chat and reminisce about their family pets. Pets can be dogs of assorted breeds. Cats and other pets can be discussed at application for this role.
The suitability of your pet will be discussed with the Wellbeing Consultant as hygiene, grooming, safety of residents, animals' personality and behaviours, and immunisation are mandatory for pets visiting. This is an easy hour or two that can bring such joy to others' lives.
All volunteers must have the annual Influenza vaccinations, triple Covid-19 vaccinations and a Police clearance
