Centre Group Facilitator - Garden Club
About this opportunity
This role is involves the planning, implementation and review of the Gardening activity at the Centre.
You will be part of a team, communicating with different groups of people in the activities of the Centre, with Centre Management and Office Staff.
Gardening knowledge would be a definite advantage in this position.
Being able to offer a warm, safe and welcoming environment to participants is an important requirement.
Some of your duties would include : Monitoring participant numbers. Keeping participants engaged in the group's activities. Monitoring and reporting progress/issues of new volunteers during their probation period. Liaising between participants and Management Committee if/or when working out of Centre office hours.
Additional requirements
National Police Certificate *.
An outgoing and friendly disposition.
An ability to interact with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
Good organisational skills.
Able to gain an understanding of Centre policies and procedures.
Must be non-judgmental, non-discriminatory and conform to the Code of Conduct
Arrange activities/ events / speakers for each session
Reliable and committed to the Centre – volunteers, staff, and participants
Mature and stable with a calm approach to a challenge or crisis
Good communication skills
Clean and neat appearance; dress is neat casual
