About this opportunity
Run during school terms, the Multicultural Mother's Group meets 9.30am-11.30am weekly on Fridays in North Ryde.
This volunteer role would suit someone looking to be involved in a supportive, well established, local community group. The role requires supervising a program that supports multicultural mums with children aged 0-5 who may be socially isolated and looking to build new friendships and support networks.
You would be involved in delivering the program designed by the Coordinator including:
- Weekly craft activities for children
- Story time
- Cultural celebrations on occasion
- Set up and pack down
You will build relationships with the mums and help them to access information and support where necessary and assist the Coordinator in identifying group needs and challenges.
This is a very rewarding volunteer opportunity for the right person.
If this volunteer role interests you, we would like to hear from you. There is plenty of parking and a bus stop within close walking distance.
A Working with Children and Police Check (we run) are required.
