About this opportunity
Wildlife Garden Advisers will be responsible for motivating and inspiring new wildlife gardens by visiting their garden and helping them discover the wildlife and stewardship potential of their gardens. The role will provide opportunities for volunteers to learn, mentor, network and collaborate through a series of workshops and social event. • Visit gardens of program members • Provide recommendations and advice on creating a garden for wildlife which may include plant suggestions, improving habitat value, weed control tips, garden design ideas • Prepare a recommendation report to client following the garden visit.
National Police Certificate *. Working with Children Check *.
• Passion for the conservation of indigenous plants and animals
• Willingness to learn and share
• Customer service skills
• Ability to communicate with people of all ages and abilities
• Attention to detail
• Plant identification skills and gardening knowledge would be an advantage
Garden assessments will require a time commitment of 2 hours plus travel Garden assessments consist of: • Garden visit (1 hour plus travel time) and • Preparation of a recommendation report (approximately 1 hour)Type of work
