Cafe | Food Preparation/Customer Service Assistant
About this opportunity
This role assists the Kitchen team through taking orders at the counter and by plating up and serving easy to prepare sweets and savoury items like toasties, foccacias, plating up cupcakes and pre-cooked frittatas. If the volunteer is rostered on at closing time there are closing tasks involved eg cleaning and tidying and stocking up for the following day. All the training is provided. Each applicant will require a working with children's check, will need to go through the Little Teapot induction process and have completed the Doing Food Safely online free training course.

Have a friendly and respectful approach to customers and the staff. Excellent presentation and desires to serve the customers and Teapot Team. Work to instructions at all times and in a team setting. Make every effort to attend training and encouragement evenings and arrival prior to shift start time to ensure you are ready at your station to commence on time.
Generally shifts are weekly and approximately 3-4 hours long between 8.45am - 2.30pm Monday - Fridays. We are also happy to consider 15 hours per week for potential volunteers requiring this.
