About this opportunity
The Community Visitors Scheme coordinates volunteers to visit people who are socially isolated and whose quality of life would be improved by friendship and a regular visit from a volunteer.
We are seeking an Italian-speaking female volunteer who would enjoy visiting a care recipient within a Residential Aged Care home in Geebung. Due to cognitive decline, the recipient has reverted back to her home language of Italian and would enjoy a chat and your company.
Your hours can vary from 1 hour per fortnight upwards with times and days arranged to suit yourself and the recipient.

Additional requirements
National Police Certificate *.
Suncare will cover the cost of the initial mandatory National Police Certificate as well as its renewals. As per the current QLD Health Directive, proof of two doses of the Covid-19 Vaccination plus booster are required in order to meet the inherent requirement of this position along with a current influenza vaccination.
1 hour per fortnight or week - days and times negotiable
