About this opportunity
Max is a fit and active 88-year-old gentleman who lives alone in his own home and would benefit from friendship. Max enjoys going for coffee and chatting. He also enjoys visiting the city, the aquarium, the zoo, and Luna park! Max likes to watch AFL (Western Bulldogs supporter), soccer, tennis and swimming. Max would like to connect with a mature age, lady volunteer. We're seeking a confident, patient, caring and reliable volunteer with good communication skills, able to commit to weekly visits or outings. A minimum 12 month/ongoing commitment is also required.
National Police Certificate *.
Volunteers must be over 18 years of age. Volunteers complete a Disability Workers Exclusion Scheme check, a National Police Check, a statutory declaration if they have been a citizen or resided in a country other than Australia since the age of 16 and provide 2 professional referees at interview.
IMPORTANT - All volunteers must evidence they've had their influenza vaccination which became a federal requirement 1 May 2020 and be prepared to renew this annually.
