The Social Pantry is a mobile food van that provides healthy and affordable meals to the community. Location can vary throughout the year.
Laneway is a social enterprise whose purpose is to increase the participation of women from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and young people with additional needs. We offer unpaid work experience, training and support to transition to other work opportunities for economic and social participation.
Key responsibilities of this position: -Assist in preparation of food -Support participants to achieve their goals -Follow all work instructions and safe operating procedures at all time including COVID-19 safety instructions and processes. -Maintain confidentiality of all people and organisations involved -Maintain excellent personal hygiene and cleanliness for preparing food.
Desirable personal skills: -Experience with food preparation or working in hospitality. -Hold a Level 1 Food Safety Certificate. -Able to commit to being available on a pre-arranged roster. -Punctual and efficient. -Ability to problem-solve. -Good physical fitness

Driver's Licence (C) . Heavy Lifting . Medical Check *. National Police Certificate *. Others . Working with Children Check *.
Volunteers will need to provide character references. You will need a minimum of four matching pieces of ID to satisfy the National Police Check. A Victorian Working with Children Check will also be required.
Two shift options Mondays to Fridays: 8:00am-11:00am OR 11:00am-2:00pm
