About this opportunity
A little about us:
Opportunities Australia is a community-based charity focused on giving job seekers training necessary for finding employment and setting up pathways that connect the right candidates to potential employers.
We are looking for mentors with expertise in a classroom setting in any field that could help teach those that are seeking work. As many of the students come from an English-as-second-language background, we have an especially great need for English language mentors.
Teaching experience is ideal, though not necessary, as long as you are able to formulate a course structure, while accommodating feedback.
The mentor's course could be spread over multiple lessons, so it is also ideal that you have regular availabilities to see it through.
We hope that like us, you are someone who wants to see a better, more cohesive future for our community, where people from all walks of life are given the chance to feel supported, and encouraged to shine. As an educator, you are filled with pride whenever you help someone launch their dream career.
Please send us your CV and a one-page cover letter telling us why you would make a good mentor.
