Marketing & Communications Coordinator (Volunteer)

About this opportunity

Responsibilities include :

• Building the Foundation’s brand through short and long term marketing and networking strategies
• Composing marketing emails
• Assisting with the composition of promotional material
• PR: Writing a press release periodically with a view to obtaining media coverage
• Assisting with establishing partnership and/or funding opportunities with large or small companies
• Promoting the Foundation’s products e.g. all the workshops and courses
• Comply with and utilise contemporary human resource management requirements and practices including workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination policies
• Perform other duties that may be required from time to time as directed by the Chief Executive Officer – Dr Edward Koch Foundation

Additional requirements

Skills required:
Ability to negotiate and be creative
Intermediate to advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office and internet research
Experience in a marketing and promotions role is desirable
Reliability in completing work within the necessary time frames
Driver’s licence ‘C’ Queensland desirable, but not essential

Preferred volunteer attributes:
Tact, diplomacy, confidentiality and discretion in dealing with staff and public are important
Excellent interpersonal and confident communication skills
Exercise initiative and work unsupervised.
Blue card highly regarded

Time Required

Hours to be negotiated - flexible, ideally one day per week
