Celtic music and social support! | Social Support | Werribee

Community Services Regular - more than 6 months Werribee VIC

About this opportunity

During these challenging times we need volunteers more than ever, to support isolated people in our community to feel socially connected again. If you’re a ‘people person’ and would like to make a difference to the life of someone who is socially isolated we would love to hear from you!

Kate* loves dogs, carpet bowls, oil painting, all forms of art, sewing, history & Geology and listening to Celtic music. Kate* would like to be connected with a volunteer who is friendly, social, polite and positive to support her to achieve her social goals.

The selected volunteer will be open to visiting Kate in her home to share companionship and conversation and support Kate* to creatively reconnect her with her interests. A love of dogs is a must! Induction, ongoing supervision and opportunities for professional development provided.

*Participant's name has been altered to maintain her privacy. Interested? For further information, please contact 13 93 75 and quote KI-W-08. *Please note that during COVID-19 this role will commence over the phone, which will enable you to establish rapport and connection with Kate and enable her to stay connected to the community.
